York Gate Garden is a magical one-acre garden near Leeds with Grade II National Heritage status, inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement. Created by the Spencer family between 1951 and 1994 and given to Perennial in 1994, it features tulips, bulging borders, tropical leafy plants, succulent exotics, a wildflower meadow, and winter topiary and snowdrops.

Accessibility: York Gate is a Heritage garden, so some areas of the garden and pathways may not be accessible to all; the garden can be difficult for visitors solely reliant on a wheelchair. Accessible toilet facilities are available in the garden and cafe, and the companion of a disabled visitor is admitted free of charge. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is recommended for natural paths and uneven surfaces.
Parking: Limited on site parking; visitors are encouraged to use public transport or car share. Additional parking is available in the laybys on Church Lane, and visitors are asked not to park on Back Church Lane.
Dogs: Assistance dogs only; family dogs and other pets are not admitted.
