The experience
About this day out
The Dufftown Whisky Museum offers a unique opportunity to discover the secrets of whisky making in days gone by and gives a fascinating insight into the lives and times of whisky smugglers. Many exhibits were provided by local distillers and HM Customs and Excise, including illicit stills and other tools and equipment used for whisky manufacture. Opened in 2002 by Charles Maclean, the museum also serves as an information point.
