About this day out

The Wash House Garden is a workers co-operative of queer community growers stewarding half an acre of land behind the old Parkhead Wash House in East Glasgow, farming there since 2018. Using agroecological, no-dig methods, they grow fruit and vegetables for 30 households and food businesses, run volunteer sessions and workshops on food growing and beekeeping, and host free community meals and events. They also rent out The Canopy, an outdoor event and workshop space with fire pits and a pizza oven.
