About this day out

Cromarty Museum is housed in an elegant Grade A listed eighteenth-century courthouse, begun in 1771 and completed in 1773. It features exhibitions about the historic town of Cromarty and the neighbouring parish of Resolis, including a recreated courtroom and an 8-seater cinema showing the specially commissioned film 'cromarty63'. The museum opened in 1991 and won the Scottish Museum of the Year Award that year.
