The experience
About this day out
The Judge's Lodging is an award-winning museum where visitors step into the 1870s and discover the world of a most unusual Victorian household. Period rooms are on three floors, including the huge courtroom, the judge's dining and drawing rooms, and displays on the local area and the police and court collection, with a hands-on policy allowing visitors to touch most items. The site also offers two holiday apartments (The Retiring Rooms) and venue hire, including getting married in court.
