About this day out
The Highlanders' Museum (Queen's Own Highlanders Collection) is located within the grounds of the historic Fort George at Ardersier, Inverness-Shire, and is operated as a tourist attraction by Historic Environment Scotland. The 5-star museum houses a Nationally Significant Collection of over 50,000 artefacts, documents and photographs, the largest collection of military artefacts outside Edinburgh, following the history of the Highland soldier from just after the Battle of Culloden to the present day. Admission to the Museum is included in the entry fee to Fort George.
