About this day out

The Garden House is a 12-acre plantsman's garden at Buckland Monachorum, Yelverton, Devon, ten miles north of Plymouth on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park. Run by The Fortescue Trust charity, it features the Summer Garden, Cottage Garden, Acer Glade, Walled Garden and Jubilee Arboretum, with seasonal highlights such as the Snowdrop Festival and striking autumn colour. The garden is funded entirely through ticket sales, its café and plant sales, plus members and donors.

On-site car park with disabled parking bays (found in the middle car park above the entrance hut); coach parking available for group visits by prior arrangement.
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs welcome on short fixed leads at no extra charge. Allowed on large pathed areas, and in the café, terrace and book shop; not allowed on grass paths, lawns or flower beds, and must not be let off the lead. No other pets allowed. Dog water provided on the terrace and in the porch.
