The Folk of Gloucester centres on a 500-year-old Tudor merchant's house in the Cathedral Quarter, formerly home to the Gloucester Folk Museum and now run by Gloucester Civic Trust as a historic building and community hub. It is free to look around and hosts a year-round programme of music, theatre, workshops and kids' events. It also has a cosy café and a Secret Garden described as an oasis of green and calm in the city centre.
