The American Museum & Gardens is an estate on the Bath skyline, home to American stories, decorative arts, folk art and textiles, special exhibitions, and acres of wildlife-friendly gardens. It hosts a programme of special exhibitions, events and seasonal gardens, including a current exhibition celebrating the art of automata. Accessibility: Blue badge disabled parking is available in the main car park, followed by a 150-metre step-free walk to the Ticket Office along a gently sloping gravel path; drop-off at the Ticket Office is allowed. A golf buggy can be arranged in advance, and a Tramper outdoor mobility scooter is available (bookable via Countryside Mobility membership at £5 for 2 weeks, £15 for a year, or £3.00 single use). Wheelchair-accessible toilets are in the Gallery Shop and Coach House, noise cancelling headphones can be borrowed free of charge, free entry is offered to Rainbow Resource members, and audio-descriptive tours with handling objects are available for blind or partially sighted visitors (max group of 6).
Parking: Main car park on site with blue badge disabled parking; drop-off at the Ticket Office is permitted before returning to park in the main car park.
Dogs: Dogs on leads are welcome in the gardens and grounds, with dog drinking bowls available; assistance dogs are welcome everywhere on site, including inside the Museum, Exhibition, Deli and Gallery Shop.
