The experience

About this day out

Brook Rural Museum sits at the foot of the North Downs' iconic Devil's Kneading Trough and preserves over 700 years of agricultural and rural history of East Kent. It is housed in a magnificent Grade I listed 14th-century grange barn and an unaltered 19th-century oast house with a round kiln. Collections dating from the 18th century tell the story of farming and rural life in the Garden of England, from the age of the horse through the Industrial Revolution and beyond.
