About this day out

Founded 900 years ago, St Mary's Church Beverley possesses some of the finest architecture and artwork of any parish church in England. Visitors can see the ceiling of Kings, constellations of stars in the Holy Trinity Chapel, 700 brightly coloured roof bosses, misericord carvings, the white rabbit said to have inspired Alice in Wonderland, and recent carvings of Narnia characters and women of influence.
