The experience
About this day out
The UK's first gallery dedicated to the art and culture of the Spanish Golden Age, housing one of the UK's largest collections of 16th and 17th century Spanish artworks outside London, with masterpieces by El Greco, Murillo, Zurbarán and Velázquez. Spread across four floors in two Grade II listed buildings, it tells the story of Zurbarán's Jacob and His Twelve Sons series, which has hung in Auckland Palace for over 250 years.
