Royston Museum is a small independent museum and registered charity that celebrates and shares the heritage and stories of Royston and the surrounding area. Displays cover over 2000 years of Royston's history, including the Romans, local industry, the Victorians, the World Wars and entertainment. Entry is free, and the museum is open Thursday to Sunday, 10am to 4pm.

Accessibility: Wheelchair access via a ramp with a low threshold; the ground floor, including the main Exhibition Hall, temporary exhibition and accessible toilet with baby change, is accessible, but the upper floor (Research Room, Community Room and gallery) is not. No wheelchair is available for visitors. A social story and sensory map are available. Quietest times are Thursdays and Fridays in term time; during school holidays Sundays tend to be quieter.
Parking: The museum has no parking or drop-off point, including disabled parking; parking details can be found on the Royston town website.
Dogs: All assistance dogs are welcome (a water bowl is available on request). No mention of other dogs.
