About this day out
The Royal Welch Fusiliers Museum is housed in two towers of Caernarfon Castle and tells the story of over 300 years of service by Wales' oldest infantry regiment through original exhibits supported by film, sound and models. Visitors can learn how the Regiment won 14 Victoria Crosses and hear the words of famous writers who served with it during the First World War, including Siegfried Sassoon, Robert Graves, 'Hedd Wyn', David Jones and Frank Richards.

- Castle entrance is reachable via two sets of steps or a purpose-built access ramp providing wheelchair access from street level to the main entrance. Some parts of the museum involve steep steps, narrow walkways, and areas open to the elements, so some areas are not accessible to wheelchair users or visitors with limited mobility. Wheelchair access is available to the ground floor of the museum, which covers the Second World War and Post-War era.
