About this day out
Redcar Racecourse stages 18 days of horse racing from April to November. Located in the centre of Redcar, it has two enclosures (Grandstand and Course) with bars, catering outlets and a big screen showing the racing. A day at the races is promoted as a way to celebrate special events with friends or family.

- The racecourse provides facilities for wheelchair users in all areas, including accessible entrances, toilets, lifts, refreshment areas and designated accessible viewing areas (with ramps alongside the track and Parade Ring). A Personal Assistant/Companion Scheme offers free companion tickets via the Access Card scheme (Nimbus Disability), and reserved Blue Badge parking is available in both enclosures. The venue also takes part in the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme and offers familiarisation visits on non-racedays.

- Free public car parking and reserved Blue Badge parking in both enclosures; car park surfaces are tarmac or grass at ground level, with a drop-off point directly opposite the main big red admission gates.

- Guide dogs, hearing dogs and service dogs welcome.
