Rannoch Moor is a Ramsar wetland site in Scotland, designated on 05-01-1976 and covering 1,519 ha. It is dominated by glacial features, moraines, peat-filled depressions, and lochs, exhibiting an extensive complex of western-type blanket bog with numerous nutrient-poor and acidic lakes. Rare species such as Rannoch rush, beetles, flies and moths, along with an excellent range of breeding wetland and moorland birds, are features of national importance.
