About this day out

Prickwillow Museum, the Museum of Fenland Drainage, is a volunteer-led registered charity (Charity Number 1185003) in Ely, Cambridgeshire dedicated to wind, steam and diesel engines used for draining the Fens. The engines are run on the second Sunday of the month from April 12th to October 11th 2026. Group visits are welcome at any time by arrangement, subject to volunteer availability.

Visitors who may have difficulty negotiating the hardcore carpark can phone in advance to arrange access through the emergency exit door at the front of the museum, where there is also a parking space.
Parking: On-site hardcore carpark; visitors needing easier access can arrange to use a parking space by the emergency exit door at the front of the museum by phoning ahead.
Dogs: Well-behaved dogs on leads and assistance dogs welcome; engine run days are likely unsuitable for dogs due to engine noise.
