About this day out
Afon Mêl Honey Farm & Meadery is a traditional family-run honey farm established in 1995, set in an old chapel on the rural outskirts of New Quay, Ceredigion, Mid Wales. Visitors can see live honeybee colonies safely from behind glass in the Bee Exhibition, visit a free exhibition meadery, and enjoy a licensed coffee shop and shop selling honey and award-winning meads. A woodland walk winds all the way down to New Quay, with access just 200m from the farm entrance.
When to go
Opening calendar
April–October: Monday–Saturday 10am–5pm (Shop, Bee Exhibition and Coffee Shop open). November–March: Shop Monday–Friday 11am–3pm; Bee Exhibition and Coffee Shop closed.
