About this day out

The National Memorial Arboretum is a 150-acre living landscape in Alrewas, Staffordshire, home to more than 400 memorials celebrating lives lived and remembering lives lost. Entry is free and the site is open daily from 10am to 5pm, hosting a year-round programme of events including school holiday activities and the Illuminated winter light trail. From September 2026 it will become known as the Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens.

Parking: Daily parking charge applies year-round: Cars £5 advance / £8 on the day; Motorcycles & Scooters £3. Two large car parks - one next to the Remembrance Centre, the other around 300 metres past the entrance on Croxall Road. Blue badge and family friendly spaces near the Remembrance Centre (first-come-first-served) and a drop-off/pick-up area next to the entrance. Booking in advance saves on the charge and guarantees entry.
Dogs: Yes - dogs are welcome; visiting with dogs information is available.
