The experience

About this day out

Garrison House in Millport, Isle of Cumbrae, was built in 1745 as the residence of the Captain and officers of the Revenue Sailing Ship 'Royal George' and rebuilt following a major fire in 2001. It is a stunning example of early 19th century gothic battlement architecture and remains an integral hub of the local community. Facilities include a café, craft shop, museum, library, funfair, model railway display and motorhome site.
