About this day out
The Museum of Methodism tells the history of Methodism from John Wesley to the present day and its contribution to shaping Britain's political and social history. John Wesley's House, standing next to the Chapel, was his home for over a decade and is one of the finest surviving small Georgian townhouses in London. Wesley's Chapel is John Wesley's first purpose-built 18th-century chapel, part of a grade I listed complex of buildings close to Old Street.
When to go
Opening calendar
Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am - 4pm. Last entry to John Wesley's House at 2.45pm. Access to the House via Heritage Stewards; group tours run from 11am (first) to 2pm (last).

- Free entry to Wesley's Chapel, the Museum of Methodism and the grounds (donations welcome). John Wesley's House: £10 adults, £6 concessions (enquire on arrival), free for children under 18. Groups of 6 and above must be booked in advance; group booking fee £12 per person. School visits: £3 per pupil (half-day), £6 per pupil (whole-day); outreach workshops £2 per pupil.
