About this day out

Edinburgh's Museum of Childhood was the first museum of its kind in the world, opening to the public in 1957. Its collection includes toys, games, dolls, clothes, books and memorabilia from the 1800s to the present day, exploring British childhood from the mid-19th century onwards. Highlights include a Queen Anne doll from c1740, a Raleigh Chopper bicycle, a Kindertransport bear, and the Stanbrig Eorls dolls' house with 19 rooms.
