About this day out

Mount Edgcumbe is Britain's historic park by the sea in Cornwall, a Grade I listed landscape with 7km of coastline, forest trails, gardens spanning the 16th century to a modern Black Bee Reserve, and Mount Edgcumbe House, the ancestral home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. The Country Park is free to enter and open every day of the year, with a shopping village, cafés and restaurants, exhibitions, and activities including segway rides and alpaca trekking. The House and Earl's Garden are open seasonally on a guided tour basis.

Accessibility: There is a disabled car park on the driveway to the House (follow signs from the main park entrance). Special access to the House is available; visitors should telephone in advance for advice. Accessible toilets are located at the Orangery Restaurant, Dry Walk, Barrow Centre and Rame car parks, and in the House when open. A passenger lift within the House allows those with walking difficulties to reach the first floor, including the exhibition rooms.
Parking: Mount Edgcumbe has a number of car parks available around the park depending on where you wish to visit, plus a disabled car park on the driveway to the House.
Dogs: Yes - dogs are welcome in the Country Park but must be under control at all times.
