About this day out

Meadow Orchard Project is a volunteer-run community garden, meadow and orchard in Crouch End, offering educational, volunteering and community-related events. Set up in spring 2010 on 1.5 acres of Metropolitan Open Land behind Hornsey Health Centre, the site is managed by volunteers to promote the health, wellbeing and creativity of the local community and protect a rare wildlife habitat in London.

Accessibility: Main pathways to the kitchen garden area are woodchip and suitable for power-driven wheelchairs with sturdy wheels, but pathways around the wildlife meadow are narrow, uneven and unsuitable for wheelchairs. The compost toilet is wheelchair accessible and wheelchair-accessible toilets are available nearby in the health centre.
Parking: Time-limited free parking (two hours) is available in the NHS carpark; visitors must enter their car registration on the terminal in the Health Centre Reception or they will receive a fine. Street parking is also available in the vicinity.
