About this day out
The Manx Museum in Douglas explores the Isle of Man's 10,000-year history from the stone age to the modern era, with interactive displays and films throughout. Highlights include Viking treasures in the Viking Gallery, the National Art Gallery featuring artists such as Archibald Knox, William Hoggatt and John Miller Nicholson, the Natural History Gallery and the Mann At War gallery. Admission is free with a suggested £10 voluntary donation supporting Manx National Heritage.

Opening calendar
Open daily 9.30am – 4.30pm (closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day). Library & Archives open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am – 4.30pm; closed Bank Holidays. Bay Room Café temporarily closed.

- Accessible via lift to level 8 of Chester Street Car Park and the adjacent footbridge, or via Crellin's Hill (steep walk) and the Garden Entrance. 3 disabled parking spaces are available immediately outside the museum entrance with level access. The museum features the Isle of Man's first publicly accessible Changing Place toilet with height adjustable changing bench, overhead hoist (own sling required) and adjustable washbasin.
