About this day out
Kimmerston Riding Centre, established by Dickie and Jane Jeffreys over 30 years ago, is one of the best known horse riding centres and stables in the North East of England, near the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. It offers instructional rides for beginners, one and two hour rides through fields and woods, and two hour moor rides across Ford Moss with panoramic coastal and Cheviot views. All rides are escorted by staff, and riders may spot wildlife such as deer, hares, buzzards and wild ponies.

- Admission
- Half hour Lead Rein (minimum age 5 or novice): £15. 1 hour ride: Adult £50, Child under 11 £40. 2 hour ride: £100/£90. 1 hour instructional ride: £60. 2 hour moor ride: Lead Rein £25 per adult, £20 for under 11yrs. Hire of hats and boots: £1 per person. Private rides can be arranged with an additional charge. Cash, cheques or BACS (in advance) only; no credit cards. Maximum rider weight 14 stone (88kg).
