About this day out

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum opened in 1901 and is a firm favourite with local people and visitors, with stunning architecture and a family friendly atmosphere. Visitors can explore 22 galleries covering everything from art to animals, Ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, including Salvador Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross. Free daily organ recitals take place on the 1901 Lewis and Co organ, and the museum will remain open throughout ongoing restoration works.

Car park access restricted to cars only; coaches may use designated bays on the east side. Alternative parking at Bunhouse Road, next to Kelvin Hall (likely very busy — public transport recommended).
Dogs: Only guide and assistance dogs are welcome.
