The experience
About this day out
Hawkenbury meadow is a long strip of neutral grassland that runs alongside a brook next to Katherine's Way. The site has margins of mature woodland on both sides and a central patch of willow trees. It has many interesting wildflowers such as yellow rattle, common spotted orchid, cowslip, wild carrot, and grass vetchling, with damper soil in the northern part attracting more marshland plants.
