Gilbert White's House & Gardens in Selborne, Hampshire is the home of pioneering naturalist and writer Gilbert White, author of The Natural History of Selborne. The museum houses the Oates collections, including objects from Frank Oates' travels through Southern Africa and his nephew Lawrence Oates' part in Captain Scott's Terra Nova expedition. Visitors can explore the house, museum and 25 acres of garden and parkland restored to Gilbert White's designs.
