East Wretham Heath is a 150-hectare heathland nature reserve famed for its small lakes, known as 'meres', and is one of the last areas of Breckland heath. The open space, small lakes and pine forest make it a fantastic place to visit all year round. Endangered bird species such as nightjar and woodlark breed here, and it is one of the few sites in East Anglia where redstart still breed.
