About this day out
Deal Castle is one of Henry VIII's 'device forts', first started in 1539 and now in the care of English Heritage. Visitors can explore the battlements, walk the rounds and uncover the castle's history. A Coastal Connections exhibition, created in partnership with the World Monuments Fund, is included with general admission.

- Book advance tickets online (by midnight the day before your visit) and save 15%; tickets are free for English Heritage members; under-fives are free and children aged 5 to 17 need child tickets; concession tickets available for students with NUS cards and those aged 65 and over.
