About this day out
The Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum, opened in 1972 in the old Kingsbridge Grammar School buildings, tells the story of Kingsbridge and the South Hams. Its galleries feature permanent displays and special exhibitions, including Cookworthy porcelain, a costume gallery, agricultural machinery, and a collection of over 30,000 photographs dating from the 1870s. Visitors can also explore a beautiful walled garden and use the Local Heritage Resource Centre for personal research.

Opening calendar
Monday – Friday 10.30am – 3.30pm; Saturday 10.30am – 1.00pm; Sunday & Bank Holiday Mondays closed (23 March – 30 October). Last admission 30 mins before closing. Closed Saturday 5 September (museum at the Kingsbridge Show).
