Chiddingstone Castle is a historic house and museum in Kent with unique Japanese, Egyptian, Stuart & Jacobite and Buddhist collections, including rooms such as The Great Hall, Victorian Kitchen, Library and Four Poster Room. Outside there is a Grade II* listed Victorian Orangery, woodland walks, a fishing lake and views across the Kent countryside. A tea room and gift shop are located in the castle tower and can be accessed without paying castle admission.

Opening calendar
Castle, collections, tea room and gift shop open Thursday to Sunday plus Bank Holiday Mondays, 11am to 5pm (last entry 4:15pm), from 12 March to 1 November 2026, except when closed for private events. Grounds and lake open daily 7am - 6.30pm except for private functions.

- First floor rooms are by staircase only with no wheelchair access or lift; main collections are on the ground floor and accessible for wheelchair users. One manual wheelchair is available free of charge from the main Visitor Entrance (book in advance). Blue badge parking is on the lawn side of the car park with drop-off at the front entrance. Seats and resting points throughout, large font text folders for visually impaired visitors, and interactive discovery boxes for children with SEN. Registered assistance dogs are permitted in the house.
- Parking
- Parking is charged all year round: free for the first hour, £1 for up to 2 hours or £3 for the full day (+20p RingGo fee). Blue badge parking is on the lawn side of the car park.
- Dogs
- Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds and the courtyard tea room seating area; only registered assistance dogs are permitted inside the house. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
