Cheddar Gorge is one of Britain's most breathtaking natural landmarks - a dramatic limestone landscape in the Mendip Hills, Somerset, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Visitors can explore stalactite-filled show caves including Gough's Cave and Cox's Cave, the Museum of Prehistory, Jacob's Ladder and escape rooms. It is a world-renowned destination for caving and rock climbing and promises an unforgettable all-season day out.

Accessibility: Partnered with Nimbus Disability: an Access Card or free Digital Access Pass lets visitors book essential companion tickets in advance. Free audio guides are available in ten languages, with Braille versions for visually impaired guests, and sensory bags can be borrowed from Guest Services with a refundable £10 deposit. Those with severely restricted mobility or who are wheelchair dependent will find much of the site inaccessible, including the caves, the Cliff-top Walk and the Lookout Tower.
Parking: Cheddar Gorge & Caves car parks: Lakeside (50 spaces), opposite Cox's Cave (50 spaces), and Gough's Cave and upper gorge (300 spaces). Prices: £7 per day or £5 from 3pm-9pm, purchased from designated parking meters. Arrive before 11am, especially during school holidays and bank holidays.
Dogs: Yes - Cheddar is dog friendly and all well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
