About this day out
Chatteris Museum focuses on the natural and cultural heritage of Chatteris and the surrounding Fenland villages. It is entirely volunteer run, with collections owned by The Chatteris Museum Trust, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. The idea of a town museum was conceived in 1942, and the museum moved to its current location at 2 Park Street, Chatteris in 2023.

- Level entry from the street with an automatic door and wheelchair access to all public areas. Ground-floor wheelchair accessible toilet with grab rails (no red pull cord). Assistance dogs welcome. - No on-site parking. A disabled parking space is available on East Park Street adjacent to the museum; by prior arrangement, an adapted vehicle can enter and park inside the museum gates off East Park Street.
