About this day out

Carwynnen Quoit, known as The Giant's Quoit, is a Neolithic portal dolmen with 5,000 years of history, located in the Frying Pan Field on the Pendarves Estate in West Cornwall. The five-acre site was purchased in 2009 by The Sustainable Trust with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund, and the collapsed monument has since been restored and made more accessible. The site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and is open to pedestrians at all times.
