About this day out

Calderdale Industrial Museum in Halifax has four fascinating floors of industrial and social history, housing a special collection representing the wide variety of industries that developed in Calderdale over the last 250 years. Re-opened and run almost entirely by volunteer enthusiasts, it features working exhibits including stationary steam engines and a 200-year-old water wheel. It is situated in the heart of Halifax's cultural quarter, adjacent to the Piece Hall, Halifax railway station, Square Chapel and the Eureka children's museum.
