The experience

About this day out

Bridge Street Garden is a community hub, forest garden and wildlife sanctuary at the heart of Banbury, founded in 2015 by volunteers who transformed a previously unused patch of land. Flanked by a flyover and a busy junction and just a few minutes' walk from the railway station, it offers an unexpected green oasis in an urban environment. It features a gazebo, pond, parklet and planters with herbs, fruit trees, soft fruit bushes, leafy greens and pollinator-friendly plants, and hosts a year-round programme of accessible, family-friendly and wellbeing-focused events.
