Bernard Jacobson Gallery was founded in 1969 with a focus on the publication and distribution of prints by artists including Robyn Denny, Lucian Freud, David Hockney, Leon Kossoff, Henry Moore, and Ed Ruscha. By the mid-1970s it began showing paintings and sculptures, later expanding to American and international artists such as Kenneth Noland, Frank Stella, Robert Motherwell, and Helen Frankenthaler, as well as modern British masters like David Bomberg and Ben Nicholson.
