About this day out
Barton's Point Coastal Park features 40 acres of outstanding natural beauty, a salt-water lake and a section of the Sheppey Cycle Route. It offers an Adventure Playground, a Miniature Steam Railway and the scheduled monument the 'Queenborough Lines', fortifications built 1863-1868 to protect Sheerness dockyard. An on-site cafe in the boat house by the lake provides refreshments.
