About this day out
The Exhibits at Abbey Cwmhir display full-size 3D printed replicas of carved stone capitals from the original Cistercian abbey church, five arches and six pillars of which were removed to St Idloes parish church in Llanidloes in 1542. The collection also includes a replica tympanum depicting the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the 12th-century Devannor Corbell, and a carving known as the Llanbister Princess.
